Mafia II preview

One of the best historic action adventure games- Mafia is coming back to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms as Mafia II. 2K Games is expected to release the game on September 25, as confirmed by SwapGame which is the UK’s most popular game rental site. The game was first showcased at E3 expo last month and was proven to be a success there.

Narrative gameplay will continue to feature action and drama just like the previous game from 2K. The game is developed by 2K Czech which is one of the newest studios for 2K Games.

Your character, Vito is an Italian national and former soldier who aims to live in America. As the game is essentially a mob tale, Vito has walked the path of organized crime several times. But, the game is not all about Vito’s journey to the top Mafia position. Vito will roam the icy streets of Empire City from one destination to the other while on a mission. The GTA-based mission gameplay makes the game even more interesting. But, the developers are also interested in providing a more ‘human touch’ to the game rather than just creating a Godfather-like game.

Starting with the mission of killing ‘Fat Man’, Vito never looks back and makes his way to the top of Mafia. Open-world design and pretty interesting story provides numerous memorable moments. The cult classic game is pretty similar to original Mafia title but improves beautifully in all aspects.
